Team Registration for Relay 2010
September 1, 2009, marked the official beginning
of Relay 2010! Get started early by registering your team now! Use the
flashing "info" sign
at the left to access our official ACS Website or print and complete a
Team Registration Form and mail it to:

New Team Incentives!
The California Division of Relay For Life has introduced TWO new programs to help
inspire our teams! These programs are for California Teams
only, so make sure you take advantage of
them by starting early in the year. You'll be hearing a lot more about these at your Team Captain meetings.

Trailblazer Team Award -
This new program is for all Teams, big and small! Teams can
qualify for the
Trailblazer Team Award
by completing a checklist of requirements. It's really easy--ALL
of our Teams should win this fun new award! Check out the

California Fundraising Club -
This program is a recognition program offered to all California Relay
For Life Teams meeting specific guidelines set forth by the California
Division. The California Fundraising Club
recognizes teams for
their outstanding efforts in the fight against cancer. Teams
receive public recognition thru signage to display at their campsite,
and the signage indicates their Fundraising Club
level! For

This is a great fundraiser as each team has the potential to earn $25 per ticket sold!
You can even allow your team members to receive credit for the ticket sold as long
as the Team Captain fills out the
ticket sales form properly. (No money please, all tickets must
be ordered online.)

Recycling Fundraiser for All Teams

Be Kind to the Earth AND Fundraise for Relay
For Life!
Have an old computer laying around the house? A couple cell phones? What about that
out-of-date gaming system your kids never play anymore? Why not
recycle those items
and make some money for your Relay team! Relay Committee
Member Cassie Taylor is organizing this
great fundraiser. Contact Cassie to get a
recycling box that can be filled with digital
electronics and mailed in. Or, if you only have a
few items, you can combine yours and get a proportioned
credit. It's easy and the right thing to do!

Team Captain Fundraiser Raffle
Okay Team Captains, time to get going with your
Relay For Life Fundraisers!
As an incentive, we’re continuing our popular
Fundraiser Raffle. There are
TWO ways for Team Captains to earn raffle tickets for this contest:
1) Schedule a fundraiser on the website.
2) Attend another Team’s fundraiser.
Each month a Fundraiser Raffle will
be held at the Team Captains meeting, with fun prizes including
Relay Bucks! You can earn multiple tickets, one for each
fundraiser you’ve scheduled that month and one for each
fundraiser you’ve attended, IF that fundraiser is for another
Team. You must have proof you’ve attended the other Team’s
fundraiser, such as a dated receipt of purchase, a photo, or
even the fundraiser’s flier signed by that Team’s Captain. How
many free tickets can you earn? (Note: Maximum of
three tickets awarded to each Team Captain per fundraiser for
attending another Team's fundraiser.)
Team Captain Meetings
Whether you're a first time Team Captain, a seasoned Team Captain, or just thinking about becoming one, you'll want to
attend all of our monthly Team Captain Meetings. There is something for everyone--Relay Store, Luminaria Bags,
as well as information about every aspect of Relay For Life. You'll have a chance to meet many of the SCV Relay
Committee Members and your Captain's Council, as well as other Team Captains. Plus, we have door prizes too!
Our next meeting for 2010 will be held from
6:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 16, at Grace Baptist Church.

Meetings start at 6:30 p.m. but our Relay Store and Luminaria table will be open for business at 6:15. Captain's Council members will be available after the meeting as well as some of our Relay Committee members.

get well, or becoming active in your local community to
